News Corp pull Google content

Following on from our post The End of Free?, Rupert Murdoch has announced that News Corp will be pulling all their content from Google once their sites move to subscription based models.

This is an interesting development and one that may signify the decline of Google, Bing etc as all encompassing sources of news. If more outlets remove their content momentum could mount behind individual stand-alone independent unindexed outlets, rather than the current web free-for-all that search engines provide.
